Volunteer for the toughest, most impossible job, and do it right. There's no better opportunity in life to show what you can do. |
| I learned I was a writer when at eight I sent a hand-written in-pencil short
story to the Howdy Doody show and they read it. I was a writer. In high
school I was paid to write Doctoral Dissertations.
After graduating from The Stella Rae Playbox (associated with the Pasadena Playhouse) I both acted and directed professionally. I then dropped out of pre-med to marry my first mistake. In the intervening years I have optioned two scripts; produced two plays I wrote; directed, acted in, and was production manager of one industrial film. I've had poetry published nationally. I have one of seven Star Trek novels at Pocket Books under consideration now. I've been told I should want to produce, control, even direct my work. I just want to sell it and write some more. I'm a writer. That's what I was born to be. It's what I do…and I love it. |
