| Austin Hodgens is a native New Yorker, and graduate of NYU's Tisch
School of the Arts. At age 19, Austin was hired as a writer for AMC's The Movie Masters. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles in 1998, Austin was signed by Zide/Perry and optioned his psychological thriller, CLOSE TO ME, to Lotus Pictures. A harrowing 18 months, and 13 drafts later, the option expired, and Austin took a break from the screenwriting business to ponder if everyone in Hollywood truly was insane. Austin recently returned to screenwriting, and in the past year, his comedy, .33 REVERSE GUNTHER, was named as a Finalist in the Anything But Hollywood Screenplay Competition while his crime noir screenplay, HOLLYWOOD SOLDIERS placed in the Top 10% of the Austin Film Festival.
